Where do I start?! Element, despite the nonesense about wanting to be the best, most trusted etc etc, don't really give a damn about their own buzzphrases. It's ALL, and I mean ALL about money. In the last few years, there has been zero investment in the tools for the job, new equipment, or maintaining equipment they already have. People leave and are not replaced, leading to drop in morale in the remaining staff due to increased pressure. Formal training is non-existent, or ad-hoc when the overworked subject matter experts have a chance, which isn't very often, so generally new or inexperienced engineers are put on jobs they are not ready for. A lot of people are employed to measure the performance of others, which costs time which the people at the coal face don't have. All it measures is a reduction in performance due to lack of time, people and working equipment.
