Pros
Understaffing to pinch pennies leads to opportunities for overtime. Reasonably clean, a fairly safe environment. It's really all about your co-workers and the bond that develops when sharing a stressful environment.
Cons
Management chasing every penny by selling every opportunity to bring a job in, regardless of how short-staffed or under-resourced we are, while promising questionable deadlines. A pathological inability to say no to a customer, regardless of the downstream effects it had on the rest of the staff.
