      Remote work, robust benefits package

      Cons

      Current culture treats employees as a commodity. There isn't institutional loyalty to committed, experienced employees. Realizing this is true of many large companies, HR's role (and some leadership) seems exclusively oriented to the corporation's interests - from an employee standpoint, it is a very impersonal culture, not one that recognizes and cultivates the unique value and talents employees bring and supports their needs.

      Not the company it once was

      Pros

      The people you work with make all the difference and really helps when working for a company like Anthem. PTO is pretty good. 401K match is pretty good.

      Cons

      Too many layoffs/jobs going offshore. Benefits are horrible. Not a transparent company. Not a loyal company to the employee any longer. Too much behind the scenes stuff going on. Moving to another position is almost impossible unless you know someone in that department. For projects, there is never any funding and you have to fight to get funding for work that needs to be done.
