      Just what you'd expect at a Fortune 50 company

      Pros

      Great pay and benefits. You get to put on your resume that you worked for a Fortune 50 corporation. You will meet some good people.

      Cons

      Several bad managers, rivalry within different departments (although it's all one company!), some back stabbing, depending on the team you could do some work that is boring and unnecessarily complex, you are a number, major politics...you can be on conference calls most of your day. I was unhappy and stressed. It didn't feel like an authentic, warm approach to work. I couldn't be myself.

      Not a place to go

      Decent pay (for the right position), decent health insurance, decent PTO (19 days to start), very remote friendly

      Cons

      The new CEO has not made good changes and morale that was poor is now even worse, many people are miserable in their jobs, many areas are ruled by fear, people are overworked (leadership says "just work harder" and "it will be tough"), mass layoffs, everything is a fire drill, business units lack the ability to plan The only thing that matters to this company is the bottom line. Not the employees, not the members, the bottom line. That's it.

      IF YOU ARE SELF MOTIVATED, Anthem fosters an environment of growth and opportunity. All employees have the opportunity to enhance any skillset they need for FREE that will help their daily activities. All you have to do is take advantage of them.

      Cons

      Because they are becoming so large, there is a chance that your efforts can fall between the cracks. But if you're SELF MOTIVATED, you can be creative enough to make sure you are not one of those statistics.
