Good but getting worse

Pros

Good pay, good benefits, good PTO and flextime.

Cons

The last 2 years have been in decline, at least in my department. The management seems more concerned with the bottom line than the patient's health or care. Policies are changed frequently throughout the year with minimal notice or training and you're expected to not make mistakes. No upward movement or growth opportunities. "Rules for thee and not for me" mentality and it didn't used to be that way.

AWFUL

Pros

Good compensation, good pto. Awful work/life balance

Cons

Terrible work/life balance. CEO wants to hire people who want to do slash and burn techniques to offshore jobs. American jobs are being shipped to foreign countries, which means your information is at risk. I recommend that members complain to member services if you get someone who can barely speak English. People onshore were fired with no warning so the company could save money. Gail hired a hitman who was fired from Redbox and Nike after pulling the same tactics. Members need to complain! Disgusting business practices; firing long term employees for no reason!

Pros

Work is interesting and co-workers were helpful and very nice.

Cons

I was hired at Anthem Blue Cross which merged with Elevance Health. I was hired as a permanent work at home because of a medical condition. The first year was great. After the merger, the company is horrific. The wonderful culture is gone. Workload is going way up but they keep letting more people go. Even with a note from both my doctors, they told me I had to come into the office like everyone else, every though the agreement I signed clearly says WAH. Management is incompetent and uncaring. You work here to collect a paycheck, and it's not nearly enough money for the stress and "crap" you deal with on a daily basis.
