Pros

Compensation and that is all.

Cons

Laid off after 6 1/2 years of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Terrible leadership and no real direction. Laid off 86 people on the east coast alone. No work/life balance and incompetent managers. Work hard, exceed expectations, and get laid off for it.

Pros

Company makes a ton of money. Stock price has done well. Lots of employees get to work remote. Good place to be if you are legacy Anthem employee.

Cons

> If you are not a legacy Anthem employee, be careful as they just want your ideas and they will work you into the ground protecting their legacy Anthem leadership & employees. > Huge disparity of work between groups, some are over staffed at 40 hrs/week, where as other groups are understaffed working + 80 hrs/week. > Some groups have no accountability, take advantage of working remote. > The Company rotates around the same legacy Anthem leaders to different departments almost every year.

Shocked at the End

Pros

The supervisor and other staff on my team were kind, courteous, and easy to get along with. They didn’t ask anything of you that was considered unreasonable. I enjoyed my time here until the last day.

Cons

I received an opportunity elsewhere and decided to leave Anthem. Nothing against the way it was run at the time. However, I found out on my last day that Anthem does not pay out your PTO balance unless required by state law if you reside in CA, CO, IL, LA, MA, MT, NE, ND, or RI. I do know reside in any of these states and will not be paid out. This is ridiculous, unethical, and completely out of touch. This is time that I worked for. I am outraged
