Pros

Unlimited time Off and remote work

Cons

*No clear direction day to day. A lot of assumptions made without training or coaching a team to success. *company does not value their employees they have a mind set that everyone is replaceable and if they don’t like you or if they want to replace you they will. *Micro Management seems to be the go to management style * very cut throat and toxic environment that could be positively competitive instead there is no team work just a bunch of people trying to take down another.

Thanks for your feedback! As a company, we are constantly pushing ourselves to be better and have already invested in supporting all our Elevaters with the launch of a dedicated "Learning and Development" function. With that being said, we also understand that as a high growth company our pace and nature of growth is not for everyone. We are sorry to hear that you didn't have a great experience at Elevate K-12. Do not hesitate to reach out and share more feedback in the future and we wish you the best in your next role!

Pros

I get to work a lot of extra hours beyond the normal 40-50 an employee should expect. This is rationalized in other reviews as needing to have more of a start up spirit. Not wanting this job to be your life means that you arent the right fit. Company is very small. a handful of local employees. Most are remote or part time or contract tutors

Cons

Lots offocus on moving fast and being willing to put in extra effort = strategy is second to making management happy. work life balance means always being available to work and balancing family second. Communication is often lacking. Priorities change on a whim. Questioning any direction even for clarification puts a target on your back. Company looks for you to use personal social media to promote company and increase awareness.

Pros

Decent salary Decent benefits but expensive compared to other “start-ups” I can’t think of anything else but I need atleast 20 words here.

Cons

Poor company culture, not your typical start up environment CEO asks employees write reviews No respect for personal life/space, not flexible if you have a family No training 3/4 of the company is in India Reactive environment Unrealistic growth expectations Only paid once a month I find it hard to believe that the CEO has a 100% approval rating.

We are sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with Elevate K-12. As a mission-focused company that is growing fast, we often build process as we scale due to our obsession with customer value. Since that customer value is focused on impacting K-12 students so they can have strong educational outcomes we feel speed is paramount. The faster we move the more children we can help. We are not perfect but we aim to build value. Since passing from the startup to the high-growth phase some aspects of our organizational growth may not appeal to those looking to be part of a small organization. As a whole, we are extremely excited about now being in a high-growth phase because it demonstrates the success we have had to this point. Our team is globally based due to the global nature of our work and most employees find it rewarding to work across national borders. We understand that this environment may not be suitable for all. As an open organization, we always welcome feedback. It helps us grow. We value the opinion of all currently in the organization as well as those that were once with us. We encourage all to reach out to our HR or Leadership team anytime and on all issues.
