Pros

Benefit Package, flexible schedules, PTO. Emblem is a dynamic company, the management isn't afraid of change, which is a plus in today's health care market. Company overall is willing to try new things, in order to keep members happy. Staff is friendly there is an overall positive vibe in the company.

Cons

The company appears to change directions and focus often. Management appears to be heavy with layoffs, even without layoffs there is a large turn over of people leaving the company. The CM dept is big on micro management which scares off good solid workers. There is a strong "don't think just do as your told" atmosphere. And CM department programs often appear half developed leaving workers unsure in a very dynamic environment. There is a clear communication problem between dept, everything is very compartmentalized which makes it hard to assist members. Many of the employees have worked for EH for 10+ and so are out of touch with provider/hospital/general health care world outside of the payer environment. They company is big on vendors, an outsourcing.

Pros

Great, decent colleagues. Work can be fulfilling and interesting. Great location, along the river. Excellent, very inexpensive gym.

Cons

Place has been in upheaval for more than two years. Constant layoffs, no job security. More and more positions are being outsourced. Management is not true to its word, notably when telling employees, "The layoffs are over."

Pros

Senior management has no idea of what it takes to complete projects on time or within budget. Senior Management speaks a good talk on team work but totally incapable of walking the walk. They create a hostile work environment where middle management is at war with one another. The company is also to quick to give its Union employees whatever they want at the expense of . middle management. The company as a whole treats middle management the very pekple they need to excute their plan like crap

Cons

Salary is good, benefits are good
