Pros

Some learning tools. Good office locations and office space. Closed to public transportation or parking is available in selected locations

Cons

Only few favorite employees get promotions. Rules are changed in the middle of the game. No career advancement opportunity. The wrong people are placed at leadership positions.

Pros

Good benefits, compensation & retirement program. Working conditions mostly good; nice buildings, company gym on site. Most employees are friendly.

Cons

Poor communication between upper management & lower level employees. Employees expected to constantly take on more responsibility without always being given the resources to do so.

Pros

Benefits, that's about all I can think of because outside of that, pros are extremely limited

Cons

Management - very siloed, resistant to change,, promotions are generally based on who you know versus what you know. Now, we were warned that layoffs were inevitable due to the 600+ million that the company lost(due to incompetent senior management in my opinion) none the less were were warned. Well, layoffs have begun, yet treating employees without any regard or compassion is horrible. Employees learning of their termination due to badges not working, people being approached at their desk, told they have 15 mins and escorted out by security, no one knows, who, what, when, nothing, so basically those left on a daily basis have no clue if its their last day. But what we do know is management does know, but not sharing. No way to treat people who were dedicated to helping this company stay afloat. Salary is below average, not to mention your expected to do the job of 2 or more and then told, be thankful you have a job. Telecommuting - so you are giving a laptop BUT only can work from home when it benefits the company, so if it's 30 feet of snow on the ground, don't expect a courtesy to let you work from home, nope, you have to take PTO time or make your way to the office(unless the building actually closes) No concern for employee well being AT ALL, but we are a HEALTH insurance company, preaching "what care feels like" its actually pretty comical. Oh, and that doesn't apply to everyone, some people with "special" agreements get to work from home pretty much whenever they want.
