      Friendly staff, abundant personal leave,

      Cons

      Many frightened and cowed supervisors. Go along to get along without question is the current management style. Salaries are on the low side. This used to be a pleasant place to work and was a pleasure to come to each morning.

      Pros

      Great benefits, helpful coworkers, summer hours are 4-day workweeks with Fridays off, but you can negotiate a different day. A full week and a half off at Christmas without taking leave. Tuition benefit for your kids.

      Cons

      Some people hired from outside the university to come in and assume leadership positions are a bad fit, and should not be kept on. Higher leadership recognizes this, but doesn't fix problems. The current budget deficit being advertised is an excuse to realign, lay off.
