Best days behind it

Pros

Good training ground for recent college grads, opportunity to travel, multiple industries served

Cons

At the end of the day, trade shows are a 20th century marketing vehicle...useful, but not as important as they used to be. Senior Management likes to spin accomplishments and company innovation, but it’s still a business just “selling concrete”. Lots of job protection decision making detrimental to long term health of company events.

People and perks are the best part about Emerald

Pros

Perks are great - unlimited PTO (which they encourage you to take), Summer Fridays (which they extended throughout the year due to COVID), trips to Vegas for the tradeshows where you can really bond with your team.

Cons

The teams run pretty lean so expect to work a lot on various projects without support. Pay is also not very competitive.

Pros

Great industry to work in.

Cons

Senior management was not in tune with the individual industries that shows served so managed with a "one size fits all" approach.
