Pros

-Nice office location -Coworkers are friendly -Ability to travel is a plus

Cons

-Intense budget cuts led to lack of basic resources needed for shows to succeed -Lack of resources stifles employee creativity and ability to "think outside the box" -Upper-management's #1 goal is to please investors and therefore sets unrealistic sales goals for employees (nearly every employee in sales I've spoken to agrees) -Little transferable job skills, lack of any formal, professional training.

As we have grown quickly over time, we recognize that company culture has been a work-in-progress, but it is being looked at seriously at the top level with great consideration for our employee value proposition. We have created a Sales Operations teams specifically to focus on revenue goals and pay to ensure we are measuring and compensating our employees accordingly. It is unfortunate that you have felt a lack of support in achieving your goals. We encourage all employees to have open dialogue with their managers about workload and resourcing. We are glad to hear you enjoy friendly employees and travel, both of which are positives we hear from our employees over and over again. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

Pros

None None None None None

Cons

Emerald does not care how much extra work they give an employee, does not listen to the teams when communicating the issues going o, does not compensate for time spent working. They fail to look at the overall picture. They only step in when things are bad. They need closer communication with the teams and the businesses. They make promises they dont keep to employees.

We’re sorry to hear you’re having such a negative experience at Emerald Expositions. We recommend you raise these points to your Manager and Human Resources to address your individual concerns. Emerald Expositions provides opportunity in a fun and exciting industry, with competitive pay and benefits. We find it disappointing that you don’t see any pros to working for our organization.
