      Pros

      A leader amongst all peers in electronics/electrical manufacturing. Emerson product inventories are so valuable that they are used as a key indicator for gauging the overall health of the manufacturing sector.

      Cons

      Emerson is favoring outsourcing over domestic manufacturing which positivley affects cost of material but negatively affects lead times and finished goods quality. Lack of innovation has also hurt some divisions.

      Pros

      Based in USA and has a long, strong financial track record. GE wannabe. Usually is #1 or #2 in most markets which is their goal. Great perks at senior level (only).

      Cons

      Moving jobs to Asia and management states this will continue. Buttkissers rewarded over Achievers. Company was acquired by Emerson and they drove all talent out and customers soon followed. Management actively promotes conservative voting at the polls and writing campaigns for their causes.

      Pros

      They allow alot of freedom to take control of your business and along with that comes full accountability. Emerson is financially strong and can offer alot of room for growth if you play the politics correct.

      Cons

      Lack of resources in the US to support much of the business as more roles get moved overseas. No structured sales training for the company which results in a disconnect from sales initiatives and what the supporting teams are focused on.
