Not a cultivating culture

Pros

The health benefits are decent.

Cons

It is not an environment or culture that fosters the best out of its employees. If you think you will be able to network and grow within this organization, I'm here to tell you that is not the case, especially if you're on the main campus. Everybody's only concern is with their clique; the communication between departments is horrible. Everyone only cares about what's going on in their unit, and they don't operate as a unified, cohesive healthcare organization. It's pulling teeth to obtain any information about the continuing education that may be provided through the organization to employees. Other hospitals will offer classes on certifications freely because they want their employees to be available when positions need to be filled within the organization, rather than looking elsewhere, but not here. If you don't know somebody, you're going to be stuck in the same position for 20 or 30 years. The pay is also not very good. And they keep saying they want to be #1.

Pros

Benefits are good. Close to the train station, so you don’t always have to drive in Atlanta traffic.

Cons

STICK TO YOUR OFFER LETTER. They will try to push you closer to closing time which could go past 12 AM (which is not the official closing time on the offer letter or the person working that late). Keep documentation if you need to talk to HR. Your supervisors will lie in their face. If you need help with something go to the head person in charge of the building. Cliques, so it’s always drama. People feeling like you’re new so they can act weird, but they do it in front of other peers, so management is obviously not good. If you leave, send your Res Letter to the CEO. Making people who work earlier in the day work late because they aren’t filling positions that NEED to so filled. Nothing is really handled right.
