      Pros

      The halthcare is second to none. High priority placed on patient family engagement. High pace of work demands the best from everyone.

      Cons

      Nobody other than upper management gets paid appropriately. Management serves administration, not the employees. I felt more human and less like a number when I was in the Navy.

      Middle and upper management is a culture of out of touch, controlling, and manipulative good ole boys/girlsl. Most have been here for so long they think they are entitled and own Emory. They also think they can treat people any way they choose. They have a Pledge but no one follows because there is no accountability. I had always wanted to work at Emory when I first moved to Atlanta and finally got a job. But it takes years to comprehend and see the layers of corruption. I would NEVER choose to be as devoted and loyal employee again to the narcissistic manager that I had who needed to retire and wasn't even her half the time! Advice: Don't make the same mistake I have made here!
