Managers receive little to no training from Emory, best case scenario they were a manager at another institution and picked up their skills there. But more likely your manager is actually a ODP or MDP, internal programs that take recent graduates and puts them in charge of "projects" with little supervision. As a new employee most of your training will come from fellow staff members, not a centralized training team.
