Pros

Emory is a very relaxed environment. Sometimes too much so, but it may be a good fit for you if that's what you're looking for. Excellent benefits package, with 6% matching, 3% even without employee contribution. Nearly free graduate level education for employees. Subsidized child care.

Cons

Pace... It may be a plus for some, but didn't work well for me. Slow adoption of latest technologies. (The university is still using ColdFusion in 2k11.) Difficult to get promotions because people simply do not leave.

Pros

Great place for research very advanced! Great benefits!

Cons

If you do not have PhD you will be always treated as a second tier researcher despite of the amount of publications you have. Most of the PI do not have any managerial experience as a result treat you as ... Again it is great place for polishing your resume with publications and experience but not with professional growth.
