Pros
Good pay and benefits, meaningful work, professional development opportunities
Cons
Leadership allows clear, public, and damaging missteps from certain individuals who are part of “the club” to go unchecked, while bringing down the hammer on others who make comparatively much minor and inconsequential mistakes. People are promoted to management based on allegiance to and favor of a particular executive, not on knowledge, skill or ability to lead. If you can find yourself fortunate enough to be in the right “house” you’ll see opportunity, but if you’re in the wrong one you’ll stay in the sea of cubicles and the only time you’ll see the inside of one of those fancy glass offices is on your last day. They push pizza parties and company games to make you think it’s a healthy culture, but it is inauthentic, forced, and frankly, insulting.
