Great clients but unprofessional administration - Behavior Technician Academy for Precision Learning Employee Review

Pros

The clients and co-workers are great. Teachers and BT's collaborate on a daily basis however that is discouraged and frowned upon. Not many perks other than the clients make the job enjoyable.

Cons

The administration engages in favoritism when choosing who to promote, they will promote anyone but a person of color. They stopped offering a salary so that they do not have to pay their BTS through the summer like every other school, nor do they even have an option for checks to be dispersed through the year. This company has an extremely high turn over rate which results in other BTS having to pick up the slack when someone quits.

Thank you for your review. APL encourages collaboration between every position so we are doing what is best for our learners. There are reasons behind every decision administration has to make. In the case of moving Behavior Technicians from salaried to hourly, this is a federal guideline we have to follow that falls under the FLSA. I would also like to state that our turnover rate for 2020-2021 was 16.98% which is far below the national average, for not only non-profits, but also for profit clinics! If you have any clinics or trainings that you would think the organization or administration would benefit from more, please let us know as we would love to implement those as well.
