Pros

Good work life balance, good benefits package, free snacks all day, flexible work schedule(s), bereavement time off.

Cons

Although the organization embraces diversity, it's the complete opposite. Employees who aren't white aren't paid the same as whites (male or female) are paid, especially black employees. Some of the executives take advantage or abuse the company's entitlements.

We continue to work hard on our diversity efforts and are very intentional to ensure every Ad Council employee has a voice. We do recognize it’s a journey to achieving all our goals and are deeply committed to doing so. And, even when we do achieve some, we know the work is never done. Our CEO takes this commitment very seriously and encourages staff to reach out on any inequities they believe may be happening or even personally feeling. We are an evolving organization and comments like yours help us to navigate towards a brighter future for all Ad Council employees.

Pros

I was part of the DC office campaign management team and spent nine years at the Ad Council. It was a place where I learned, grew, and worked alongside some of the smartest and most supportive people I’ve ever met. The work was meaningful and fast-paced, and the experience gave me so many tools I still use in my career today. Even though I left about four years ago, I still feel connected to the people and the mission. When I was recently laid off from another job, one of my former supervisors at the Ad Council reached out right away. She offered encouragement, made connections for me, and even introduced me to someone at the company where I just landed a new role. That kind of support, years after I left, meant the world to me. The Ad Council is the kind of place where relationships run deep and stick with you. If you're thinking about working there, just know you're not only joining a great organization, you're joining a community that stays in your corner.
