This organization needs new leadership and management overhaul badly. - Media Outreach Ad Council Employee Review

Pros

Make a decent living while doing meaningful work. Hours are 9 to 5, unless you have trouble managing your time or if you have a manager that sets unrealistic deadlines.

Cons

Hypocrisy. Besides the everyday perks that are only enjoyed by select employees, e.g. come and go as they please and working from home, there are actually written policies that are applicable on a cases by case basis.

Pros

I was part of the DC office campaign management team and spent nine years at the Ad Council. It was a place where I learned, grew, and worked alongside some of the smartest and most supportive people I’ve ever met. The work was meaningful and fast-paced, and the experience gave me so many tools I still use in my career today. Even though I left about four years ago, I still feel connected to the people and the mission. When I was recently laid off from another job, one of my former supervisors at the Ad Council reached out right away. She offered encouragement, made connections for me, and even introduced me to someone at the company where I just landed a new role. That kind of support, years after I left, meant the world to me. The Ad Council is the kind of place where relationships run deep and stick with you. If you're thinking about working there, just know you're not only joining a great organization, you're joining a community that stays in your corner.
