Pros

Most people are good at their jobs and willing to work with you. Benefits are average, pay is low for the industry. They are good about hiring a diverse group of competent people, but most opportunities are and will be in "low cost countries".

Cons

The business structure is highly matrixed, complex, and difficult to work in. Internal contact information by role or location is treated as a secret; if you don't already know the name of the person you want to contact, it is almost impossible to discover who does function X at site Y. 10 people have to say yes to any change; 1 no, and the idea is killed. The emphasis on short-term cost cutting is even worse after the spin-off from Johnson Controls, not better as senior management had led people to expect. Very complex, overwhelming PD process, lots of paperwork and no consistent priorities for which work to do thoroughly and which to make a token effort on.
