Some great leaders. Some not so much. - Anonymous employee Advia Credit Union Employee Review

Pros

People, benefits, some flexibility, and potential growth

Cons

There are more than the pros. Promotions are highly highly based on nepotism and less on competency. They have this model that leaders just need to lead and not do. This would work if the leaders they had are actually leaders. I’d say a good 75% aren’t leaders. They are just making sure they look good to their boss to justify their salary instead of growing and leading employees. HR is a joke and clearly nothing goes to the CEO desk unless it does and she just doesn’t care. The flip side being there are some wonderful leaders as well. Just very few of them. Bullying is a problem here too.

Thank you for providing us a review. We proactively source feedback from our employees on our leaders via a manager effectiveness survey and continually look for ways to improve. We have a very strong Management training track here at Advia allows us to continually grow the skill set of our leaders. We apologize for this being your experience at Advia. Our HR and senior leadership team works very hard to listen to feedback provided by our employees and execute change where possible.

Thank you for your feedback and your time with us. We're glad to hear you found the training, benefits and leadership interactions to be positive; these are areas we work hard to prioritize. We're equally concerned to hear your feedback regarding the work environment and feelings of disengagement within branches. Creating a positive, supportive culture where team members feel valued and heard is a top priority for us. In order to better understand and address concerns about your specific experiences, we would appreciate if you reached out to the HR team.
