Great Company - Purchasing Clerk Aerowave Technologies Employee Review

I prefer working for small companies. I like knowing everyone and what they like, their kids names and hobbies, etc., and you can do that here. Will, the CEO is approachable which is wonderful. My direct manager is super to work for / with, and at the middle of week 2 I've only talked to him twice. He trusts that I'm getting my job done. There are clear guidelines for what has to be accomplished by which date. Basically, it's "Here's your task, here's the timeline, what do you need to accomplish the task, now go". If you need help you can feel free to ask anyone. If they can't help you, they can point you to the person who can. I couldn't feel any more fortunate to have gotten a job anywhere. On diversity and inclusion, I feel I'm working at the United Nations. Quite varied backgrounds and ethnicities. A very interesting bunch. I'm the old guy having been just hired at the age of 68. No age discrimination here. How refreshing. And yes, we're hiring. Check postings regularly, there are almost always positions at one or another level available. They also get filled very quickly. My application date to start date was less than 3 weeks and that involved 3 interviews.

Well, free iced tea to go with the free coffee? Seriously I can't think of a single con. Maybe asking me in another year.

Working at Aerowave was a great experience overall. The leadership is amazing, and the team is incredibly supportive — always willing to help when needed. There’s no micromanagement or unrealistic quotas, and you gain valuable exposure to the telecommunications industry, with occasional opportunities to travel and visit clients. If I ever get the opportunity to work at Aerowave Technologies again, I would definitely take it! Also the CEO Will Young is a GREAT GUY!!

Day-to-day expectations aren’t always well defined, and it’s common to take on tasks outside your core scope. On top of that, the compensation plan changes from time to time, which can make consistency and long-term planning a challenge.
