Sales leadership is very bad here especially director level and above. Unfortunately senior leadership in sales all came from a very similar background and many of them have a surprising lack of experience given their role. I don’t think I’ve ever been at a company where senior leadership is so clearly unqualified, but talk as if they had 10 years more experience. Unfortunately, this shows. The sales org is very poorly run, very little communication about changes, many disruptive changes to territory, and a surprising lack of understanding about what reps do every day. I chalk it up to over-confident sales leaders that all run in the same leadership circles and have followed each other around from company to company. As a rep at Airtable, you’ll often question every change and every internal sales meeting, wondering why leadership is saying what they’re saying. Unfortunately, there is so much potential with Airtable that is being squandered away.
