Pros

- Incredibly smart and passionate teammates who are mutually invested in everyone else's success - Fun product in an exciting space - Pay and benefits were great

Cons

- Leadership thrash and misalignment across GTM teams - Frequent lack of focus on priorities -- is it solutions? Is it the enterprise? Is it self-serve? The answer was to do all the things, mediocrely -- and then reduce headcount when nothing stuck. - Doc heavy organization which got in the way of decision-making -- and slowed down debates to a crawl before their inevitable death.

Pros

Office culture is amazing - dedicated "culture ambassadors" (a recruiter and engineer) plan events in the NYC office , and they're doing an amazing job, not to mention daily interactions and lunches with a strong in-office presence. Coworkers on my team are incredibly smart, kind, and thoughtful. In my experience, there is a total absence of known smart but "difficult" people, which is unheard of. Really interesting, technically deep projects, since we are fundamentally a data company. Perks and benefits are great. One of the rare tech companies that still seems to have all the right values regarding DEI, work life balance, and keeping its employees happy.

Cons

Not sure what the outlook is on the future of AI - we're certainly at a major inflection point with a new CTO and a lot of AI initiatives, and it remains to be seen how it goes. Quality of managers seems to be mixed. High management turnover, but that's the industry right now.

Pros

- great flexible product, heavily dogfooded - generally nice and smart coworkers - all my EMs have been great - comp and benefits are good

Cons

- codebase is pretty heavyweight, a large monorepo - distributed and remote-friendly company means you don't get much face time with many of your coworkers - recent wave of departures and re-orgs has been a bit chaotic
