Pros
Intelligent, hard working and awesome IC/coworkers make it possible to put up with all the BS going on at any given time. Frontline managers are awesome and have your back despite their hands being tied by senior leaders. Product has HUGE potential if we can actually deliver enterprise level software.
Cons
Senior leadership, especially VPs and C-staff, are junior varsity trying to play in the big leagues and failing miserably. The nepotism is awful and is the key reason our company is slowing decaying from the inside out, as we continue to promote from within and the people being tapped are underqualified; not to mention our sales team continues to hire all of their buddies from Datadog and they are underqualified, entitled tech d-bags who are destroying our culture from the top down. C-staff are big vision people without the ability or skills to execute and they seem to be intimidated to engage with true enterprise c-staff or senior leaders at our customers. Airtable desperately need to hire professional senior leaders/c-staff who know what they are doing, have a proven track record for building a Saas company at scale and have experience leading companies to IPO readiness.
