Leadership doesn't seem to have confident POVs, leading to a moving target roadmap. The AI goldrush has made it worse. I'm sure all companies are experiencing this same pivot, but our strategy for AI has been done in a way that seems more trend chasing / catching up over true innovation for the product. This is the one of the most disorganized place I've worked at. Airtable mistakes its product as a replacement for operational roles like program managers or operations. The result: poor usage of Airtable within Airtable. Our org is drowning from a pyramid of approvals and reviews from managers and leaders. Things cannot get shipped without the review from several leaders. This has eroded the team's trust and has put many people into a mode of complacency over innovation.
