Pros
Regular hours, decent benefits, interesting work. If you're looking for 40 hours a week, and regular start/stop times, you can find them at an Allina Clinic. There may be a rotating schedule of who stays late, but you're very rarely there long after the usual quit time. Allina has a good benefits package and many other benefits that aren't insurance related. You get thorough and ongoing training. Allina really cares about their patients and you're part of something special.
Cons
One of my biggest problems with Allina's PTO policy is that to get paid for a holiday that would land on a regular working day, you have to use YOUR PTO. If you want to take 5 days off, but you only have enough PTO to cover 4 days, too bad. You can't take 5 days. We unfortunately had some bullies at the clinic I worked for, and that made it really tough. I wish there would've been an easier way to deal with it.
