Now I know what it's like to work in a sweatshop in India. - Customer Service Alorica Employee Review

Pros

You develop lifelong friendships, kind of like when you serve in a war. When two people spend time together in hell, they form a kind of bond. Even after they are fired, resign, or are committed to a mental institution the bond still remains.

Cons

They want phone calls to last less than 8 minutes, yet expect one stop service. Management is incompetant, employees are belittled and harrassed constantly. They have constant payroll problems and are under threat of termination at all times if they don't meet average handling rates. And all for slightly more than minimum wage. Don't be fooled. BE AFRAID! BE VERY AFRAID!

Pros

Remote/work from home makes it easy.

Cons

Bait and switch tactics from training to onboarding to on calls. Your trainer will promise you one thing, and when you're on calls, your manager will bring you back to reality. They use AI transcription software to QA calls and if you mumble something that might be off-color between calls and they catch it, you're gone. Also, my manager would not cater his advice to me when I was a new agent. It's a slog, and if you're a single parent, they will take advantage of you.
