Pros

Bonus is nice but not guaranteed. Great for workaholics. People are nice and do their best to improve things. Hourly get free health benefits. 401k match offered. Salary get cell phone reimbursement.

Cons

Raises are "MERIT" based but not if you ask around. Jim B. Doesn't want you to discuss your pay with anyone, which is against the law. They don't accommodate any medical or personal situation if your hourly. HR is looking out for the company. Nampa HR is never available and ignores their phone calls. If you have a decent supervisor you can get comp time for all the overtime worked. If your a department of a few salaried members your expected to be on call and near the factory on days off. Policies are inconsistently enforced. Your better off quitting and coming back to get paid more. Internal promotions are very low pay increases. Corporate only ever sees the negative and never rewards any wins a factory has. Few Lgbtq+ people work for the company and most are closeted because of the culture.

Pros

Excellent company with great benefits and family like atmosphere. High ratio of long-term employee's that add so much knowledge and value to the work atmosphere.

Cons

I have no cons to speak of. If something comes up its pretty minimal and upper management is typically on it,

The company recognizes the importance of work-life balance by offering flexibility where possible, helping employees manage both their professional and personal commitments. With diverse opportunities across agriculture, processing, logistics, maintenance, engineering, IT, and corporate functions, employees have the ability to grow their skills, explore different roles, and build long-term careers within the company.

Cons

While Amalgamated Sugar offers many benefits, employees may experience seasonal long hours during peak times, work in more rural locations, and need to adapt to evolving processes while balancing responsibilities across teams.
