      Pros

      Great co-workers, and their programs do benefit the communities they reside in (schools, forests, public health, etc)

      Cons

      Burn-out is real. Program Managers have a very broad job description, and the workload is never done. Pay doesn't reflect the extent of your job duties.

      Good training, great opportunity to gain meaningful experience, good benefits.

      Cons

      My particular program (the Public Health Corps) did close rather than get hit with federal funding cuts.
