Pros

Great vacation, holiday and sick leave benefits. Top caliber projects. Ability to advance in duties and responsibilities. No secrets in terms of profitability, HR or other organizational information.

Cons

Health package is lacking, vision/dental is a joke. Advancement in terms of promotions and salary not as forthcoming as in terms of extra responsibilities. Much, much less progressive in terms of project contributions, organizational openness and employee respect than they pay lip service to.

Pros

This is the 4th AEC company I have worked for and I have stayed for a long time. The SF office is run by women and they are a very supportive group. Management is very transparent and approachable.

Cons

A little on the introverted side.

Pros

There is a lot of exposure to exciting and innovative projects, the staff is incredibly intelligent, and the workplace feels very casual for a top tier firm.

Cons

The majority of the work is benchmarking documentation for LEED, WELL, ILFI, etc. if you are looking to learn beyond that it will take several years before you do anything else.
