Pros

The pay is ok for the job description they give you, but your job description will NOT match the actual work you do.

Cons

Most corporate employees have a corporate mindset and don't actually care about people in other locations, or about the lower paid people in corporate. Constant initiatives to eliminate your position will occur. Managers play favorites and don't even try to hide it. Special treatment is overlooked by HR Managers, most of whom are less than productive, yet their jobs are always secure. Managers will make up their own rules and change their minds frequently about the way they want things done. If you ever want to have proof of something (you will), get it in writing. You will be hired with a promise of promotion (if that's something you express interest in during your interview), receive excellent performance reviews, and never be promoted.

Pros

For the most part, I did not have to bring work home with me. Compensation was good. Benefits are on par with other corporations in the area, although they have been slowly eroding them.

Cons

Company still very siloed between the various business units. Middle and upper management do not work well with each other, and their strategy is not as clear as it could be. A lot of formerly in-house services have been outsourced, which has slowed down what were routine processes. Micromanagement seems to be on the rise.
