Big corporation with large financial assets and global reach. M.I.P. bonus program if sales are good and overhead cost is down. 401K matching percentages are good.
Cons
Attendance policy is beyond strict. If you have a family and have an emergency and have to leave early or call in you will get an occurrence even if you have vacation time to cover it. An that will also show up in your semi annual review as well. Management/professional level positions are only granted with a BS or higher degree of education. Even if you can do the job or have been doing the job the company only favors those with degrees. Very little future for advancement if you are an hourly employee. You will be given a description of the job title you hold by the company...it will be nothing like the job you actually do and are required of daily. Management will have no clue as of what you actually do, your expertise, and how efficient you are. They will expect you to do more and not compensate you for it. There is very little interaction between management and personnel and most all communication is done electronically. Even training and job assignments are done this way. Hourly personnel have the use it or lose it policy on vacation time, as salary can carry up to two weeks over to the next year. Beware at the end of the year they sometimes close some facilities down and if you have no vacation time for the days the plants are close your paycheck is going to be short. They have group insurance ... Medical, dental, and vision... But it doesn't pay well and the deductibles are high. There are double standards between hourly personnel & management/company. They tell you they want to know your opinion but truthfully they do not. If you speak your mind or give your opinion it will either be ignored or you could be reprimanded for it. Management only thinks you are replaceable and not worth investing money or time in.
