Everyone at office was humble, helping, considerate and different from usual corporate peers. However, they lacked zest or any sort of individuality in their work or life.

But back then, the manager wanted to be director, director wanted to be CTO, CTO wanted to be CEO and CEO wanted to beat his rival who in turn wanted to beat his own rivals. But that pretty much sums up any organization. Every corporate job is like a pyramid scheme at the end of the day no matter where you work.
