Pros

Great management that is understanding and easy to access, clear work expectations, comprehensive training for the job, clear company values that they try to stick to and work towards.

Cons

The pay could be much more competitive for the work that is expected from the role. There isn't a lot of upward progression internally that can come from this role. The company is really strict about when you work your hours, even when you could reasonably work during a different time.

Pros

For many years, BambooHR was a genuinely great place to work. Most of the people are outstanding, and the company built its reputation on a culture of trust, autonomy, and empowerment. I made lifelong friendships here and learned a tremendous amount during my time with the company.

Cons

The BambooHR of today feels very different from the BambooHR that attracted so many employees in the first place. Over time, the culture has become more corporate and political, with decision-making increasingly centralized and less autonomy for managers and teams. The company that once encouraged ownership and trusted employees to help shape outcomes now feels more focused on top-down alignment and process. For those who value autonomy, influence, and being heard, this shift can be frustrating. Compensation and career growth have also become less compelling for long-tenured employees. I chose to leave because I no longer felt aligned with the leadership philosophy, the cultural direction, or the career path available to me. While I’m grateful for my time here, I would encourage candidates to understand that the culture many former employees speak fondly about may not be the culture they experience today.
