Pros

The company does seem to care about its employees (outside of the sales org). Benefits are good. In sales specifically, the training was great. If you have the right manager, who has been successful at Bamboo, you can learn a lot about tech sales. It’s a good option for someone who wants to spend 6 months getting their foot in the door in tech. My time here has made me a better salesperson.

Cons

In sales, the turnover is remarkable at Bamboo. Top reps are leaving for fair pay and goals are so unrealistic that 2 unlucky weeks will have you sweating for your job. My team specifically made an outside hire for manager who came in with little experience and made no effort to learn our software or sales processes. We lost 9 team members (8 quits) in the managers first 9 months without a single promotion. Meanwhile, we did not hear a word from management asking if we were okay or why so many reps would be leaving. They do not care. Bamboo does a great job at convincing reps to come here and spend a couple of months before they realize they were bamboozled. Management isn’t worried about losing you, or an entire team for that matter because the recruiters are proactively misleading dozens of future candidates with unreachable OTEs, “company culture”, and a promise of a fast promotion.

Pros

At the end of my tenure, I really have no pros.

Cons

I'm pretty sure I was "quietly laid off", in the effort of sneaky downsizing without having to actually do formal layoffs. This place was a godsend and a great place to work on my small independent team, and I did great. Then they did massive restructuring, added layers of hierarchy, added process, and basically just starting running a creative team like a line of factory workers. I had a horrible time with my manager on so many different levels, and felt validation when others would reflect the same, but I reflect what everyone else says - narcissistic, micro managing leadership that I now understand play manipulation games. I was put on a performance improvement plan and finally quit due to burnout, stress, and the dissolution of a role and a team that I had from before. They constantly push for solutions and deliverables, but I never really saw anything I delivered actually get treated and implemented with respect. Company policies and siloed team policies and procedures stymie actual effectiveness, and it seems like the leadership acts as your strict grade school teacher rather than having your back.
