Pros
- Pay is competitive and you will get to participate in the share option plan at a low cost, which can be good depending on how successful the company becomes. - Benefits are good in the US. My insurance plan here costs slightly less than at my previous company, but the actual plan is much, much better and there are a lot of options to choose from. - Opportunity to work for an international company in an emerging market. - Most of the people are nice - Remote work possible depending on position - The product seems to be high quality and once customers try it, they seem to like it. - The company is investing in growth and leadership worldwide.
Cons
- Much of the company is located in Colombia. This in and of itself is not bad, because the Colombian staff is very competent and good to work with. However, I believe it may turn some customers off from purchasing a product that is primarily developed and supported in and from a South American country. Most of the Colombian staff speaks English and Spanish, but there is still a language barrier at time for employees that don't speak Spanish. - There has been a lot of turnover recently, no reason to sugarcoat that. This has lead to some fear in some areas of the company. Fortunately, the company is also investing a lot in growth in the US and abroad and we have hired some very top notch leaders recently. It is clear that the US is the target marget at this point and fast-pace growth is anticipated. - Although Bizagi is an Intelligent Process Automation company, some of our own processes could use some work. I think a main part of the issue is communication, which can be fixed. - Although there is a lot of investment in the US, it still seems like business is a bit slow, but it is clear that there is a huge opportunity.
