Pros

- A job where you get out what you put in. If you put in 110%, the company will put 110% back to you to make you happy. While some positions may start low, it's generally VERY easy for you to create your own path and shape your career. The biggest complaints about this seem to be people that aren't self-motivated. That is MUST in this environment. - Great areas to go to clear your head if you're having a stressful day. Ping pong, Pool. Air Hockey. Foosball. Popcorn machine. Play with dogs. Or maybe you just need to go lay down for a few minutes (laying down requires a dog for cuddling, but the dogs are plentiful). - It's great knowing that if you have any sort of problem or question, you can go to nearly anybody and they'll try to help you find your solution. This also includes the partners, which is a great thing to have. - The people! There isn't a single person working here that I dislike. Everyone here is great and everybody is always willing to put together a better product. Late nights happen often but it's not something to be dreaded because you're just staying late to get some work done with your pals. The company always insists on ordering any sort of food that we may want, getting copious amounts of soda and expensing it. - Most importantly, it's a job I where I don't despise coming into work in the morning. I can't really imagine working for another company.

Cons

I have very little negative feedback for the company. Again, if there's any issue, it's very easy to raise your concern to try to find a solution. However, if I had to pick something right now, our carpets are kind of gross. We need to enforce a dog owner clean up day once a month or enforce some sort of immediate clean up action if a doggy does a "no no". - Additionally, it seems some people get a little too comfortable with the freedom we provide. While it's great to be able to come in to work and be yourself, some people seem to forget, at times, that this is a place of work.

Pros

Booj is a really fun place to work. You can bring your dog if you have one. There are a lot of good, friendly, active people that work there. You can do whatever you want. This is good and bad. Sometimes it's good, but it can also be irritating to work with people who are stoned all day, including managers. Fun games such as table tennis, pool, foosball etc. Good place to work if you are just out of college and have few expenses, or if you are a marijuana enthusiast.

Cons

They seem to get rid of some good people, but will gladly keep others who are incompetent. There isn't much of an organizational structure, though there's a lot of talk about reorganization often (this can be good and bad). While there are some really great people, management seem oblivious to certain things, like the extremely low pay. They talk very proudly of the awards that they've won, they seem to think that it's a privilege to work at Booj, but they show a lot of favoritism and don't seem to mind that they pay far below market average. The biggest problem is definitely salary. A game room does not pay the bills. The company could hire much more qualified people, and improve the products drastically, if they were willing to pay an average salary (28k per year for a Project Manager is simply embarrassing). Managers are just those who have been there a long time (whether qualified or not).

As a young, growing company, we indeed struggle to pay the kind of wages that the Googles, Facebooks and other large technology companies are able to pay and who often set the industry average. There are no hidden facts; the wage and the first year's increments are agreed before any applicant accepts the job. All employees are encouraged to carve their own career path, and those who take initiative are often promoted. We often hire for junior positions and cultivate successful individuals to higher roles with more responsibility and higher pay. ` We continue to invest in our company culture and internal processes in order to provide an environment that our employees take pride in and want to be a part of. I hope you find something that fulfills your requirements better and I am sorry that we were not the ideal fit.
