Pros
You're given a lot of responsibility which is great for learning. Most of the people I worked with were nice. Some good perks, such as free lunch shared with colleagues (pre-COVID). Overall, the working environment was pleasant and fun.
Cons
Managers tend to be inexperienced and there's a high rate of unprofessional workplace habits. A special mention goes to people who show up at your desk to request "urgent" help with a project they failed to prioritise properly. I don't know what a normal staff turnover rate is but it felt high at Brainlabs. People seemed to come and go at dizzying speeds. This was demoralising. The workload was often overwhelming. Sometimes this was because of the actual amount of work, and sometimes due to inefficiencies caused by poor management. The salaries are OK but you can easily find better elsewhere. I have mixed feelings about the CEO. He can be supportive and inspiring, but also short-tempered and disrespectful.
