Pros
- I would recommend this place if you’re struggling to get your foot in the door. They seem to take raw talent and work from the ground up. - I believe the people are nice and easy to get along with. The team sizes are fairly small so there’s ample opportunity to bond with your team and grow together. - You are given the space and trusted to do work early on in your role.
Cons
- Although this is a company that can get you started in the industry, this is the type of company that will take inexperienced, yet capable, talent and underpay them compared to industry standards. If you value getting your foot in the door over money and are okay with standard perks, this will work for you. - The team sizes being small can also lead to things such as favoritism, unequal opportunities, and uneven distribution of work. If you’re a hard worker, they’ll capitalize on that but it doesn’t guarantee a faster career progression in the company. Also, career progression and experience can be heavily dependent on the team's ability to lock-in new work. - You can expect to be doing work outside of role without any adjustments to general responsibilities or increase in compensation. Talking about an increase in compensation is difficult because of the company’s methods in doing so. - I truly believe the majority of people here are nice. Does the company take the best interest of their people to heart? I’m not so sure. Because of how leadership operates, the company’s methodologies, and the more reactive (not proactive) nature in the company’s actions, this can all trickle down and make it seem like certain people don’t have your best interest in mind. With that said, go into this company ready to advocate for yourself and your worth. - I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless your goal is to move into a team lead role and you enjoy working with people. There are teams out there doing more compelling work, treating their employees like they’re valued, and pay significantly better. Otherwise, get the experience you need and move on. - Agency life is busy, it comes with the territory. I would say overall, the team was usually burned out. - Overall, 2 stars (not 1) because it is possible to gain some valuable experience if you can navigate through all the cons.
