Pros
When I worked there, the process for switching shifts was really flexible and that made it easier to get important days off of work without trouble. The offer incentives for working evening and weekend shifts. They reward consistent attendance. The work atmosphere at my store was very friendly. The majority of our customers were really great people.
Cons
Most cashier positions are strictly part-time. It can be a little difficult to make sure you got scheduled for the right number of hours you were supposed to be. Regular pay raises were not easy to come by (many people hadn't been given a raise in multiple years). Particular co-workers sometimes had attitude or teamwork problems. There's too few opportunities to move around and away from the register for a moment to stretch and keep your circulation going.
