Pros

Carvana has really incredible benefits that truly do improve quality of life. They provide you the opportunity to build relationships that will last a lifetime and I am forever grateful for that.

Cons

One of Carvana's core values is: Don't be a Richard. What does this mean to its employees? This means that it is important that "Carvana conducts their business with a firm commitment to ethics and compliance and treating every customer, employee and stakeholder with the upmost respect. As Carvana continues to build a great company, it’s equally important that they are always acting as a good company." Needless to say, my experience was less than that. Throughout my day to day at Carvana I was never quite sure if I was performing my duties well and on top of that (positive or constructive) feedback directed to my role competencies were far and few between. However, when it came to how I interacted with those in the office they were always quick to jump on their feet to shame and deliver feedback. For the last 6 months of my experience I was victim of shameful feedback that I felt was not appropriate or necessary to improve my day to day tasks. This lead me to not feel like I could be myself or even safe in the office. When I was at my wits end I was advised to reached out to Human Resources to assist me with advice on to conquer this problem, and I requested to be kept anonymous. I requested to be kept anonymous because at this time I was already feeling singled out. I was feeling like I could not be myself in the workplace because of the very personal feedback I was being given by my leadership team. Unfortunately, I was not kept anonymous. This escalated my experience and I quickly realized that reaching out to a team that is put in place to protect their employees and not being protected something that I hope someone never has the opportunity to experience. At that point forward I lost all trust in Carvana's HR team and my leadership team on supporting and protecting me as an employee. ( I mean, why should I?)

Pros

Not many that I can think of other than being outside in the summer and independent.

Cons

You will work 12 hour days usually starting at 4:30am and you only get paid for miles. Once you leave the yard you start making money, but it takes 2 hours to load cars in the morning and 1 hour to unload unless you are running. Carvana states that you get extra miles for loading and unloading but the extra miles at .60 per mile only work out to about 10.00 per hour. Basically minimum wage for 3 hours a day. You'll have to work through the winter outside when its -40 with wind blowing and 20 semis in the ditch on your route from black ice so keep that in mind. Management only cares about you leaving on-time and thats about it..a deaf ear to any other constructive thoughts. Cameras watching every move and you get dinged all the time which will effect your quarterly "safety" bonus.
