Pros
Recognition of a job well done. Opportunity for advancement. Overtime available often. Chance to genuinely help someone in an actual emergency situation. Structured training. Regular employee reviews to evaluate their performance which is the bases on which raises and advancement are decided, favoritism is not a factor. Company paid events 4 times a year (guest included) for an excellent employee review once you reach the highest level. If an employee is promoted to manager, company paid retreats with (guest included). Chairman’s award for excellence with a top prize of $2500 and several runner-up prizes given out once a year!!!
Cons
Strict rules and policies which can be difficult for some to follow. Break policy is too strict and should be revisited. It takes too long for upper management to add additional supervisors or managers when shifts numbers have grown, which causes managers and supervisors to be overworked and over stressed. Also employees do not have the supervision and one-on-one time with managers needed to be able to invest in their performance.
