Pros
- Pay is good since they were forced to compete with other agencies - Benefits are good, but nothing like you’d expect for working at a hospital - Depending on what base you work at, your fellow providers tend to be really good people who care about patients and their partners
Cons
- Management for the most part is horrible. They focus more on advanced degrees than leadership abilities or common sense. - Work flow is ridiculously high for a basic as there are those paramedics who believe basic emt skills are beneath them and refuse to do anything which doesn’t require an als certification. - CCPT used to be really good as far as safety and leadership being there to make sure policies were followed. Now, it’s all about money. They literally couldn’t care less about you or your health. - One of the biggest in my opinion….if you have a certification and a pulse, you’re hired. Forget whether or not you can perform the duties or have the patient's best interest in mind, got that cert and you’re good - If you’re thinking of moving up within CCPT, this isn’t for you unless you’re besties with the director.
