Pros
- Great Mission - Enthusiastic People - Good Benefits (Student Loan program, 401k 3% deposit, solid PPO health plan) - One of the few companies that looked for ways to help out its workers beyond what happens at work
Cons
- So many meetings, around 8-10 per week - Low morale, even before the round of layoffs - No communication from management about the status of ongoing tasks - Super bureaucratic and draconian policies in place for processes. Everything needs a memo, permissions are so tightly locked down you'd think there were hundreds of employees, not dozens - Expectation of "the work is meaningful, thus you will work late and not complain" - Terrible, cumbersome, manual deployment process - Constantly concerned about audits - Habit of getting about 60% of the way to making a change in process/technology/etc then giving up - Tons of legacy code that no one knows anymore
