Pros
I have worked at MCFI for over five years as a full time employee. During this time, I have worked in several different positions across three different departments. I feel that my professional and career goals have really been supported by all of my various leaders. If you look around MCFI it is easy to see that I am not the only person with such an experience as there are many employees and leaders who have promoted to several different positions over the course of their employment. It appears that if you are willing to put in honest effort and a little determination you will be rewarded. There is also a real focus on client services which is a theme between each department I've been involved with. I left the private sector to find a more "meaningful" job and I have been very happy with MCFI in this sense.
Cons
Being a non-profit agency the salaries are a little under the average but the agency does try to provide other benefits like a co-pay free health center. Things can develop and change rapidly at MCFI. New programs spring up pretty quick when the opportunity presents itself and sometimes so much change, so fast, can be difficult. Stronger communication would be beneficial at these times. One of my transitions between positions lagged on for a while because the new position cropped up so quickly and it did not seem things were fully prepared.
