Pros

Chevron has a great work environment, in my experience teams try not to overload you which results in great work life balance. Also you're given freedom to grow at your own pace which is a huge plus. Overall, my experience at Chevron has been great.

Cons

Flexible remote work has been iffy with the pandemic as a developer. Some teams come in once a month and others come in 3 times a week. Wish it was on a case by case basis. Also, the technical expectations from managers is pretty low; I wish the company motivated workers to produce good work not just work to get the job done.

Pros

Working with an amazing team who cares about your work-life balance and gives flexibility if emergencies arise. The pay is also very good.

Cons

The commute to the office is very difficult and having to come into work 4 days a week. Also, you have to pay for parking and there are no vouchers. They also have layoffs and downsizing on a regular basis so it is very nerve wrecking.
