Pros
I absolutely LOVED working at Citizens! Working in a hospital (especially during a pandemic) has proved to be stressful- of course, but being able to make a difference in so many patient’s lives made everything worthwhile!
Cons
When an employee is expected to work a dramatically increased workload/overtime hours (many days without a lunch break)/LITERALLY risking your life going in and out of COVID rooms, scared of bringing the virus homes to our homes- no hazard pay offered, nor any appreciation or respect given. While nurses are offered an unlimited supply of free Gatorade’s and water?!?! YETTT....that employee truly ENJOYS waking up each day and coming into work, never calls in, and always gives 120%. Other departments notice their work ethic, and patients always compliment how kind/efficient she is.....THEN, YOU’D THINK THE MANAGEMENT WOULD SHOW THEIR APPRECIATION AS WELL! INSTEAD, they are unkind individuals who do NOT care about anything other than LITERALLY degrading their employees, talking down to, insulting them, never keeping promises and CONSTANT last minute schedule changes, trying to scare employees into agreeing to do things (and if you don’t agree, they childishly cut your hours). I have NEVER worked so hard in my life, and been so proud of the work I’m doing...yet, the only reason I wanted to leave, was because management made me feel like less than a person and replaceable.
